Sunday 4th August, Darren announced the appointment of Martin Fong as the Club Coach.

Martin Fong (born 11 December 1983) is a Fijian  international lawn bowler. 

He has represented Fiji at the Commonwealth Games.

In 2022, he was selected for the 2022  Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (with David  Aitcheson and Semesa Naiseruvati), where he reached the bronze medal play off and just missed out on a medal and the men's fours

Now along with playing lawn bowls, Martin is also very competitive in Hockey.  He  represented Fiji in Hockey. He was Captain  and also President of  the   Marist Hockey Club.  Martin  joins us from    Griffith along with his partner Nadia and their young son.

AUSTRALian indoor open 2024

Josh Warren and Darren Kelly represented Mooroopna Bowls Club at Moama Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024  in the Australian Indoor Open. Josh commenced playing his section at 9am while Darren had to wait till 3.30pm to commence playing his section. Both Josh and Darren won their sections which saw them make the final 16. Played commenced 11am. Josh defeated Brendon Boyd in a tie breaker while Darren defeated Maurice Lee from Heathcote in straight sets. This took them into the final 8. Josh was defeated by Bradley Cooper from Moama while Darren was defeated by Matthew Vernon from Talbot.
